Financial Aid - Seminole State College of Florida

Students who attend Seminole State College receive the same quality education offered at a state university at about half the cost. To make summer courses even more affordable, financial aid is available in Summer Term for eligible students. Financial Aid for Summer Term 2017 is based on the 2016-17 FAFSA. Students who haven't completed their FAFSA for the current academic year should visit the FAFSA website to complete it as soon as possible. The financial aid priority application deadline is March 6. Pell Grants Students who have unused Pell Grant funds from the Fall and/or Spring terms may be eligible to receive the Pell Grant for their Summer Term classes.

De Anza College :: Financial Aid :: Refund Information

The Financial Aid Disbursement date listed on the Student’s MyPortal is the date the Financial Aid office disburses the Student’s Financial Aid to the Student’s De Anza account. The disbursements are processed on Monday of each week. The Financial Aid disbursements will first cover/pay any outstanding balances due to the college. A Refund of the Student’s Financial Aid will be transmitted to BankMobile on the following Friday. Financial Aid Disburses and Refunds on the scheduled dates when: Student is approved and awarded Financial Aid Enrolled in required number of units at least one week prior to the start of term Student is in "Good", "Warning" or "Probation" per  Satisfactory Academic Progress Disbursement Adjustments/ Reverse disbursements occur when students increase or reduce the number of units they are enrolled in within the add/drop period or are subject to Return of Title IV.

The Federal College Work study program is a form of financial aid which enables students to earn some of the money they need for college attendance. Eligibility, which is based solely on financial need, is determined by filing the appropriate financial aid application as early as possible since awards are usually made in the summer. SUPERVISOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES The supervisor is responsible for training and supervising the student, for seeing that the work is performed in an acceptable manner and for reporting the hours worked. Grants are "free" money that students do not have to pay back. The funds come from the U. S. Department of Education or Lansing Community College. Federal Pell Grant The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based federal grant awarded to low and middle income undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor's or professional degree to promote access to postsecondary education. Students must meetbasic eligibility requirements. Grant amounts are based on the student's expected family contribution, or EFC (see Calculating Need), andenrollment level with a maximum annual award $5,775 during the 2015-2016 year, and a maximum annual award of $5,815 during the 2016-2017 year.
