Digit now helps users automatically save for monthly bills

Automated savings startup Digit has long helped users squirrel away money for a rainy day. But today the company is rolling out a new feature that will make it easier to help its users save and pay their monthly bills. Digit works by scanning users’ bank accounts to measure their cash flows, and algorithmically determining how much money it can save for them. Once a user has connected a bank account, every few days Digit will pull out a small amount of cash that it deposits into its own savings account which users can access at any time. The goal is to hit a sweet spot between deducting so little that users hardly notice the money is gone, while saving enough that small amounts start building up to larger balances.

Amazing Savings in Brooklyn , NY

My experience at Amazing Savings today was far from Amazing. I purchased a glass beverage dispenser 3 days ago on Sunday October 14th. I didn't have a chance to fill it until yesterday. It started to leak a lot at the spigot the second I poured cold tea into it. I carefully poured the tea back out, tightened the spigot (not too tightly though, just like the instructions said) and poured the tea back in. It was still leaking ever so slightly, so I assumed it was defective. I thoroughly cleaned out the dispenser and dried it completely over night before putting it back in the box, exactly the way it came.

Here's how much the average family has saved for retirement at every age

When it comes to retirement savings, how do you stack up? According to a report from the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), the mean retirement savings of all working-age families, which the EPI defines as those between 32 and 61 years old, is $95,776. But that number doesn't tell the whole story. Since so many families havezerosavings and since super-savers can pull up the average, the median savings, or those at the 50th percentile, may be a better gauge. The median for all working-age families in the U.

It’s time to start thinking about Christmas 2017 – The Asda Christmas Savings Card

I can’t believe we’re in the middle of February already – ringing in the New Year felt like just yesterday. I’m still kind of dealing with the fall-out of Christmas 2016, and feeling very poor – and was thinking about ways to make sure I’m not in the same situation next year. So something I know loads of people love doing are those supermarket savings cards – so I took a look as the Asda Christmas Savings Card to see what it’s like.
